Asbestos shingle electrical. Very common on pre-1975 T/H homes, especially in Uniondale, Westbury, and the older parts of East Meadow. We use licensed abatement. Adds $3,500-$6,500.

Wall insulation. Most pre-1980 T/H homes were insulated to old code. 400A service gives measurable heating bill savings. We quote insulated vs standard as a comparison on every cape and ranch.

Dumpster permits. The T/H requires a street dumpster permit if the dumpster cannot fit in the driveway. We pull them. Adds $50-$150 depending on duration.

Cape on Myrtle Avenue, Westbury, 2024. 200A Eaton CH panel swap + 60A EV charger circuit. Fed Pacific Stab-Lok removed. Permit pulled at T/H Building Dept. 1 day for the panel, 1 day for the EV circuit. $4,800 total.

Hi-ranch on Roxbury Road, East Meadow, 2024. 200A Cutler Hammer panel upgrade, all circuits relabeled, PSEG service mast replaced. 1 day install, inspector passed on first walk. $3,600. The neighbor across the street called us a week later.

1970s colonial on Harding Avenue, Merrick, 2023. Generac 22kW whole-home standby. Gas line extended by plumber we coordinated, concrete pad, PSEG interconnect, Town of Hempstead permit. 3-day install. $10,800 turnkey.
